Rework and reprint POLICY
This policy outlines the conditions under which **M&M Creative Designs** will provide a free rework or reprint of a submitted project. Our commitment is to deliver parts that meet the agreed-upon specifications of your final quote.
1. Quality Guarantee & Reporting Defects
M&M Creative Designs guarantees that the final printed part will align with the material, technology, and post-processing finish agreed upon in the final quote.
- Reporting: Any claim for rework or reprint must be submitted in writing (via email) to **[Insert Contact Email]** within **seven (7) calendar days** of delivery.
- Documentation: All claims must include clear photographic evidence showing the defect, a detailed description of the issue, and a reference to the specific dimensional/material standard that was not met.
2. Free Reworks and Reprints (M&M Creative Designs Responsibility)
M&M Creative Designs will provide a free rework or reprint if the defect is a result of our internal processes. This includes, but is not limited to:
| Defect Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Print Failure | Print lines, layer separation, warping, or material delamination not caused by the file geometry. |
| Material Error | Using an incorrect material, color, or finish that contradicts the final approved quote. |
| Dimensional Error | The finished part dimensions deviate from the original STL/STEP file by more than **$0.3\text{mm}$** in any direction (unless a specific tighter tolerance was quoted and agreed upon). |
| Shipping Damage | Damage clearly incurred during transit due to improper packaging by M&M Creative Designs. |
Condition for Free Reprint: The reprint will be based exclusively on the original, unmodified file and the original production specifications. The client is not entitled to submit an updated or new file for a free reprint.
3. Billable Reprints (Client Responsibility)
The client will be responsible for the full cost of a reprint if the defect is a result of the original file, design, or insufficient client consultation. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Design Flaws: Failures due to insufficient wall thickness, unsupported features, non-manifold geometry, or features too small for the chosen technology's resolution.
- Tolerance Issues: The part does not fit or function correctly because the **client's file** did not account for assembly tolerances or material shrinkage/expansion.
- Post-Submission Modifications: The client requests changes to the file, material, or finish *after* the original print order has begun.
- Misapplication: The part fails in its intended environment because the material selected (by the client or based on client instruction) was unsuitable for the final application.
4. Resolution Process
Upon review of the defect claim, M&M Creative Designs will follow this process:
- Acknowledge the claim within **48 hours**.
- Determine the cause of the failure (M&M error vs. Client file/design error).
- If determined to be an M&M error, we will initiate the free rework/reprint immediately.
- If determined to be a client file/design error, we will provide a new, billable quote for a corrected part and offer a discount on our **DFM Consultation** service to fix the file professionally.
